The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

12/13/2013

At last, movie that I've been waiting for finally has released today in cinemas in Indonesia! None other than The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I really enjoyed the first movie, as well Lord of the Rings trilogy too. Watched it with my sister and my dad today on the first day it's released.

I know that the movie's duration is pretty long like the previous movie but I don't mind it at all as long as the movie is really good. Indeed, the movie is really long but I don't feel bored at all while watch it because the movie able to entertain me from the beginning until the end.

Again, we were presented with lots of amazing sceneries in the movie that I'm dying to set my feet on it and take a picture in that location. The sceneries are just too gorgeous and beautiful. A friend of mine who just went to New Zealand get to visit the location of the shooting of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Envy her, really. Will go there for sure in the future.

I was fascinated by Smaug, the dragon. It was really magnificent and they able to make it really glorious and fierce.

As always, the Elfs are just too beautiful (read: Orlando Bloom). Orlando Bloom looked older in this movie but still can't deny his handsomeness and I found the Elf's King is handsome too like Orlando Bloom. Gotta find his real name and find what movie he has ever played before.

The story is getting interesting and in here I can see that Bilbo is getting attached to the ring and those small details that we ought to know in the trilogy of Lord of the Rings were presented in this movie. I like how the actors are able to act well with their expression without saying too many words but we, the audience, are able to tell what did they feel or what did they thought through their expression. Many characters are being shown in this movie, as well with the characteristic and the development of the character as well were being shown pretty good in this movie.

Truly can't wait for the next Hobbit sequel, as I'm really excited after watching this one. This is truly my kind of movie because it's very adventurous and still it's pretty tense even though the duration is kinda long but the movie able to surprise me here and there.

The dangerous old man and old woman are back! Gotta say that I'm pretty excited for this movie though. Some people might dislike this movie well I just like it, simply enjoying it for the actions. Watched this with my dad and my sister of course. My dad will be sullen if I left him out on action movies. I'm quite surprised when I knew that Lee Byung Hun will be one of the cast in this movie. Will he be great and cope up well with those great actors such as Bruce Willis, Malkovich, Mirren, Anthony Hopkins, and even Catherine Zeta-Jones. It will be a great honor for him to be able play with those top notch actors.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this movie and of course this one is better than the first one in the action category. Aside from the action category, I like the first one a bit better. Because in this movie, there are some scenes (the non-action scenes) are quite dull and like 'Duh?'. It's a bit weird for me. They better stick to their action only.

I've got to say that Lee Byung Hun's acting and action skills in this movie is really great. He really showed it that he's some kind of mania when it comes to killing or punching someone especially toward Bruce Willis, his old enemy in that movie. I liked it the most when Lee Byung Hun acted along with Mirren inside the Lotus car. That was really awesome when both of them cooperating with each other and shooting their enemies. Still love Lee Byung Hun in this movie despite all of his bad rumors regarding his past though 'cause he's still showing his amazing skills and acting. So I don't mind with it and congratulation to him for his upcoming marriage!

Mirren is really awesome in this movie. Much more awesome than Bruce Willis. Very sophisticated yet very savage when it comes to killing and she still managed to look like a lady during all those hectic times. Amazing acting from her.

Not to forget, Anthony Hopkins. Just by the fact that he's in the movie is already great! Great acting of course, no doubt about that. Especially when he acted like he's someone who got amnesia or a bit lunatic. Great plot twist too at the end.

As for Catherine Zeta-Jones. She looked amazing even with those wrinkles that starting to show up, she still looked all classy and sophisticated. However, there are some of her make up that I quite dislike though. Her dark blue-ish eyeshadow that made her eyes looked not that great. Ugh. Better fix that.

Overall, it's a great movie and better than the first one in the action category. But, they could've done it better since they have Anthony Hopkins and Catherine Zeta-Jones as their new casts in this movie. Can't wait for the third one! ;)

I thought it would be a boring movie from what I’ve seen with the trailer. I didn’t knew that many people have been waiting for that movie and very eager to watch it. Even though I knew the director was a famous director, Guillermo de Torro. It’s just the trailer didn’t amuse me at all. Well, thankfully this one turned out to be an amazing movie. I hate it when I watched the trailer and it seemed really good but when I watched it, it turned out to be sucks.

This movie was such an eyegasm, indeed. My eyes were being spoilt with all those awesomeness effect and beautiful details. I was very captivated and engrossed when I’m watching this movie. Even my father who hated the idea of watching monster and robot at the first, when the movie was over, he told me that he really liked the movie and it was really great.

I really liked the raindrops on the movie. It was very precise and crystal-clear. It was one of those awesomeness effects on the movie. Obviously, I can’t mention one by one because there are too many effects and overall, all of the effects are really great and beautifully made.

However, the lead-female actor’s acting irked me so much. It’s not that bad actually, but it’s just awkward especially when she got close-up scene. That was the only flaw of this movie, I guess. In my opinion, of course.

I was very surprised to know that this movie’s duration is very long. It’s around 2 hours and 15 minutes or so. I can sense during the movie that this movie is quite long not that I mind it though because during the whole movie, I didn’t feel bored once. I was very mesmerized by the movie and fell right into it.

The thought of sharing your memories with someone else inside a gigantic robot and fight the monster is weird yet fascinating for me. I want to try that once though. But, sharing my memories with someone else is horrifying. I wouldn’t like the idea of sharing my memories with someone else and let that person knows my memories so well.

This is truly a very beautiful movie and great one. I don’t mind to watch it once again as I’m planning with my friend already that I will accompany her to watch it once again with her.

Fast and Furious 6

5/24/2013

Fast and Furious 6 is finally here!

I'm very happy when I know that Fast and Furious 6 has been released in Indonesia two days ago and I watched it right away which on 22nd May 2013. I've watched all of Fast and Furious saga from the first to the last one which is the five. I don't really like the 2 Fast and 2 Furious and Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, simply because there's no Vin Diesel in it as the main actor and the story line wasn't that great as well.

One word for Fast and Furious 6 will be amazing for sure. This movie was truly amazing though. I mean, they take it to a whole new level for sure. I remember when I have Fast and Furious marathon (second and third sequel exempted), they started from the street and dealing with the cops and trucks stealing thingy which is quite the basic one compared to the latest ones.

This time they're dealing with a world-scale problem. Each time they made their sequel, their main problem will keep increasing. As before, after dealing with only the street racers and cops, then they're dealing with a cartel and so on. They stick with Justin Lin to direct the movie from the fourth movie which I found it great and the same writer as well whom I forgot his name.

Not to forget, Joe Taslim was one of the actor in this movie! Not just someone who passing by but someone who actually managed to got a full shot of solo fighting scene! Joe Taslim is an Indonesian actor by the way. Charismatic and tough looking guy. I'm one proud Indonesian here because of him. I mean, he managed to act along with Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez and others. Also, he got his solo air time when he had a fighting scene in the subway. For me, it's a very great achievement. I mean, come on, a solo fighting scene. He acts really well and fights well.

Right now, they're not just dealing with fast cars but also tanks! This is where they go through a whole new level still with the essence of the street racing and modified fast cars. What I liked about Dominic Toretto here is that he's a guy with a code and he really cherishes his family and protects his family so much.

However, there's one scene that I don't really like though. Watch out. Spoiler alert. It's a scene when Dom caught Letty. Come on, it's too ugh bad. Nonsense. Just that scene alone, the others? Perfect.

Then, come to the 'surprise' at the ending of the movie. I'm really surprised with the 'surprise'. I really like THAT 'surprise' but I hate 'the surprise'. It sounds confusing but once you watched it you'll know. For me, it ruins the whole Fast and Furious essence. I know it will be great anyway but still. For someone who watched every single of Fast and Furious saga, I feel bonded with Fast and Furious then suddenly with this surprise, I won't feel Fast and Furious essence anymore in the upcoming movie. Who knows it might outshine the other casts. Is it just me or others who watched Fast and Furious from the first felt the same? LOL. That's just my opinion though. Once again, I love 'that surprise' but not 'the surprise'. Different.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

11/21/2010

Finally I've watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1! It was released yesterday in Indonesia, and I get to watch it today which is so good. And afterall the whole movie was mind-blowing even though something's a bit off though. But the special effect and everything was awesome and breathtaking and yeah it blew my mind off. Even the jokes was not corny and yeah it made me laugh out loud. Well, of course the ending part was a bit off because there's going to be the part 2 but it's not a big deal for me though. I really should re-read the book again. I'm totally lost when I was watching this movie. Lol. Well, here are some caps of the movie ;) Well I'm trying to search for a better quality picture, well I found a really good quality, but it's just too big. Like super big seriously. So, yeah, that's too bad. But this is better only it's smaller. Tee-hee.

Step Up 3D

10/15/2010

Good dawn everybody. I'm writing this post on Sunday, 17th October 2010 ; 3:17am. It's really late up here I know, but I'm writing this because I was killing time while I was waiting for my download to finish ;)
So the most-talking-about-movie was Step Up 3D recently right, and I've watched it on Friday. But I just get to write about it today, so yeah here comes my apology ;) So I went to watch this movie with Diana, Audrey, and Jessica. We had so much fun today.

And here it is, the poster of Step Up 3D

Here are some snapshots from the movie, well at first it's about the lovey dovey couple here. Moose and his childhood-best-friend-ever-who-turned-out-to-be-his-girlfriend-in-the-end, Camille (typo or not).

And of course the main couple, and the hottie couple: Luke and Natalie. Damn Luke is fucking handsome and gorgeous. Not to mention his smokin hot abs for additional. Mesmerized with his smirks, his abs, his smile, ah everything. Seriously handsome!

And finally some snapshots from the dances! Damn, I gotta say this time they got loads of great moves, great techniques, great ideas, and everything. It was just beyond cool! I was in awe when I was watching it. Amazed!

And the final dance! Damn, they're using a neo-flies on their clothes, and it changes color when they tap the clothes or whatever they've done to that clothes so the color will changed automatically, and they're using laser! Damn, that was sooooo cool!

See that, topless Luke *.* Can't take my eyes off him. Yeah I know, I sounded like a mad girl right now, but who the hell cares, 'cause I really love him! He's very handsome ;)
Well practically, I was much in awe because of the dance moves, not because of its storyline. The storyline was pretty basic and predictable, but the dance moves, it's not basic and it's not predictable! Absofuckinlutely unpredictable and awesome! Worth to watch for those who loves to see dance moves or dancing.
